Question on DC Header & 02 sensor location.
I Tried searching for an answer but no luck.. So im asking it now..
I was looking at my friends DC header for his CRX and I noticed that the 02 sensor was not in the same location as my 5 year old dc header.
Does anyone know why the new headers have the o2 sensor now located at the very end of the header?

Re: Question on DC Header & 02 sensor location. (Silver_Rex)
It is due to emissions and the fact that the header is CARB approved. The sensor must see the combined output of all 4 cylinders. Our race car has the 4-2-1 DC header and the bung is indeed at the end of the collector and works just fine. You will need and extension cable from the stock location-make sure it is high temp wire and keep it as far away from the pipe as you can. Better yet-get it from DC Sports.

Well thats was odd JC, my header is a carb approved ceramic header from DC.
But like i said before my O2 bung is located on the #1 tube and not at the end of the collector like my friends new dc header.

Re: (Silver_Rex)
I take it you guys have D series motors?
My DC Sports header for my B16 has it at the collector. That is just Ghey, considering the stock locations on the B16 Factory header.

i think its because CARB approval later required that it be placed on the collector and not just one primary. when i had my car recently smogged in california with a dc header, the guy mentioned he wouldnt have passed it, but dont take that as authority.
