Default pilot bearing

i was wondering if anyone has found an alternative to a crx with a d series tranny pilot bearing. the one i got in my kit slides off even after being hammered on.

You mean comes out from inside the flywheel?

there should be a lip inside the race of the pilot bearing that retains the bearing when the flywheel is tightened down to the crank. The bearing should not come out as long as that lip is there. If the lip isnt there, then you need a new flywheel because yours is damaged.

did the old bearing just fall out too or did you have to hammer it out? ive never had a pilot bearing that wasnt a tight fit.

I have a fadanza 6 1/2 flywheel and the bearing I got for it had a slip fit like yours I put locktite on it to hold it in place while i installed the transmission and mine has given me 0 problems for over a year. I was worried about it though

I did this but i used sleeve holder from napa worked but i still need to find out if it is ok since i am doing auto to manual swap. Tomorrow i will install axels and finish it up

ps when i pull on the realese lever it is very soft is this normal on a cable trans?

it should move a little bit very easily until the throwout bearing actually hits the fingers on the pressure plate.

its a oem replacement cluth and it mover freely for about 3mm and then its the same sogtness throuhgt the whole thing

when i installed the presure plate it looked flat well only way to find out is to try it
