Default :::PICS::: CRX WITH GSR ROOF :::PICS:::

Picked up a gsr roof for $100 at a junkyard and put it on my crx because my glass roof idea didn't work. Other thread was locked, this is the proof. The power works to open and close the roof. Haters keep hating.

That **** better be fast as expletive to justify all the **** you have strapped to it. Creative idea on the roof though why don't you make this TECH worthy and explain what the hell you did.

"Haters keep hating" it must suck to be at the point with your car to where you realize people hate it before anyone has yet to reply.

A picture is worth a 1000 flames.... I mean words. But anyway, write a "how too" on that. Wouldn't mind have that too.

all other preferential things about your car aside. *cough* mirrors*

That roof swap is some nice work. Enjoy the motorized goodness of an open top on a beautiful day.

I stand by my previous statements, useless as they may be.

But the roof is something worth doing a write up on.

Ditto on the previous statements.

I just don't see a good write up coming out of this. Its a hackjob and I would hate to see anyone try and mimic it. Look at the pics provided. Maybe it can be one of those "how not to.." and "why you shouldn't?" Its a safety issue and although I can be a jerk I still care about peoples safety as well as those around them. I say lock it up until we see something quality and worthy of a write up!

Lets not lose the integrity or tech of this site.

My biggest dilemma with it is it HAS to structurally weaken the chassis. Also who wants and extra 40 to 50 some odd pounds at the worst place, THE TOP of the vehicle.

From the prior post before the reset the OP said he was done with this thread cause we hurt his feelings

But I did catch him say he used a 2001 Integra roof (though I thought the DAs would fit better maybe?) to do this. to bad he did not go into detail about how much cutting had to be done before welding began. IMO this is not a bad idea if done right, it would not be that much heavier than a stock Si sunroof assy. and it does look alot better also IMO than the Si sunroof. My problem is since I don't weld or do serious body work it would cost somebody like me an arm and a leg for labor which in turn makes this a pretty pointless investment.....now if I were a body-man, things may be different.

Either way I don't think this guys gonna post any kind of tutorial or anything for that matter since he's so crushed

why not just lock it? there is no tech and the OP doesnt seem to want to do a write-up. this thread is worthless.
