o2 sensor obd0 to obd1
i just converted obd0 to obd1 on my rex. running p28. i have a single o2 sensor, i was going to hook up a 4wire, but they want 80bucks on a new one. so i thinking just to run the single. i tuning my ecu with crome, and i can turn the heater off. i believe 1 wire is signal, 1 wire is power or ground?, 2 heater wire. so if i hook up the signal wire and disable the heater on ecu. i should be good right??

Re: o2 sensor obd0 to obd1
nope i dont think you will be good you may need to disable the o2 completly
as i tried doing this same thing and it failed horribly
the 1 wire o2 in my opinion sucks so i used a 4 wire but before deciding that i wanted to not use one in general
me being preety lcuky i had hondata and my freind was using crome but he didnt have the ecu setup for anything yet. him being a nice guy he let me "borrow" his ecu, i tried using both varations to get the 1 wire and no o2 sensor and they both kinda failed i notced as well(after some 1 week testing) my fuel millage went down the hole as well.
not sure if that was my faultbased on my tuning skillz or if it just is what it is?(in a nut shell)
if anyone else has done this i would like to know as well as i was not able to get it working/functioning 100% with those diffrent variations of setup's being hondata and crome(sepretly or course) for a 1 wire and no 02 sensor
so as for now my reccomendation till some one else replies and can prive me wrong hehe is run the 4 wire 02
it may be 80$ but its not like your gonna burn it out every week, they do last quite a long time

hmmm you should deffently research more on this casue honestly id say run the 4 wire spend 80$ so it will cause less problems/headaches for you i mean either way spending it will garuntee you wont have that "o2 issue" if ya get what im saying
OR just drive or not drive the car and get your wideband but ya hopefully some one knows if you can truely run with out an o2 some how im curious as well

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: o2 sensor obd0 to obd1
Buy a PLX setup for $230 its not that much more than $80... it will have the narrowband output that you need and then you can also have the wideband for the gauge.
