Just got this over the weekend . All original 89 si . Has original motor as well , with 233000 miles & runs like a champ , still very strong for its age . Cold AC as well , always a plus in AZ . Let me know what you guys think .

And, if you keep if all stock with all the oem parts on it, it will be worth 50 grand in 10 years. if you start modding it and changing to aftermarket CRAP, it will be worth nothing,
At least if you start the mod bug, you can sell off the crap parts like the oem seat, oem floor mats, oem armrest, oem lights, oem wheels, etc, so someone can fix a screwed up one up back to stock…

Don't touch that car, and if you cannot refrain from touching it, then you don't deserve to own it.

As much as I don't want to agree with this statement, it's just TOO clean of a car to molest. I'd have to say keep it all stock, replace what you can with new OEM stuff and just hang on to it. I think for me personally I'd still do I/H/E and maybe a very small 1.5 inch drop but otherwise I'd maintain what's there. You just don't see them like this anymore.

Yeah it's not perfect but everythingg is in its place & it runs pretty damn good . But I took it to emissions today & it failed . So I'm not sure what to do now . It passed the carbon monoxide , but failed hydro carbons & oxides of nitrogen tests .

do a full tune up, re set the ignition timing, run some seafoam through it (before the tune up) and change the oil. maybe run some HEAT in the gas. see how you do then

Because it is cursed. This Y-49 was found deserted in an Indian Burial ground, and it's exhaust fumes are neon green and radioactive.
