Need help w/ side panels and dash...
I'm doing the interior on my car and need to know what kind of paint I need to get and where I need to get it from. I've got like $10 to spend on paint for today until I get tipped out tomorrow. Anyways, it's a 91 Civic Lx sedan. I'm just doing the dash and front door panels, from brown to black. What kind of paint sticks the best to the material? Where can I get it from. I don't want to just spray paint it and have it look shitty. They make certain paints for the material that my dash and door panels are made out of, right? Need some ideas on what paint to get. Any are helpful.

I painted my inside from blue to black and I used Duplicolor. It sprays better than the Plastikote to me. I have used both.
I am about to do it over with dye this time though

Yeah, that's the same stuff I got, Duplicolor. I didn't have a PepBoys close enough to my house, so I went to Advanced Auto Parts and got the Duplicolor. It worked great! Both front door panels are glossy black. Tomorrow I get to tackle the dash board and take the carpet/upholstery in the door panels to this guy I know and get them re-done in crushed red velvet. He's only charging me $60. It is going to look so sweet when it gets done. My car is going in the paint shop next weekend. Glossy Raven Black for the exterior. Yeah baby!

Krylon Fusion is good for plastic
i used black krylon fusion on my stock black bumpers after doing very minimal surface prep (cleaning only) and its held on tight so far.. even through a nasty winter and sustained >90 mph trips on long daily highway communtes ..
krylon fusion + plastic =
there are also interior dye products (they are in spray cans as well) from a company called SEM .. they have been the standard for this application AFAIK .. ie used by interior shops ...

Thanx for the tips. The dash and side panels are already done though, I used the Duplicolor. It works pretty good . Now for the real test, durability . What do you guys suggest for the overhead (roof)? The same thing I used for the dash and panels?
Man, that stuff's wack! It peels like latex paint! You gotta be real careful not to touch the door panel when you get out. I, unfortunately, have a habit of pushing the door open with my foot when I get out. Looks like I gotta break another habit.
