My never ending build thread. Ground up restoration
What's up guys? My name's Jordan and this is my Civic. I'm replacing every single part and making it a pretty much brand new car. But it's a little tricky. I broke my neck almost 10 years ago so I'm paralyzed and have to drive auto. So to fit my b16a in with an Integra automatic trans we had to notch the frame and weld up our own mounts. The trans computer has 28 wires so that's going to be a bitch too. But other than that I'm replacing every part of the car to make it brand new.
Parts I have
Engine
obd0 B16a
Jackson Racing Supercharger
Skunk2 68 mm Throttlebody
Skunk2 Fuelrail
Skunk2 Cam Gears
AEM Short-ram
RS-R 4-2-1 Header
HKS les-h05 Catback
Mishimoto Radiator w/ Fan Shroud
Suspension
Koni Yellows (replacing with Ksport airbags)
GC Coils
-450 Rear, 370 Front
GC Extended Top Hats
Full Race Traction Bar
Skunk2 Lower Control Arms
Skunk2 Strut Tower Bar
Skunk2 Front Camber Kit
Skunk2 Rear Camber Kit
ASR Rear Subframe Brace and 24mm Swaybar
Polyurethane Swaybar Endlink, Swaybar, Lower Control Arm, Strut Mount, and Rack Bushings
Bolt Boys Fuel Line Tuck Kit
Exterior
EF9 Conversion
-Headlights
-Corner lights
-Sidemarkers
-Front and Rear Bumpers w/ Lips
-Hood
-Fenders
-Side Moldings
-Spoiler
-Rear Filler
Knock-off J's Racing Spoiler
Brakes
DA Front and Rear Discs
DA Master Cylinder
DA Brake Booster
DA 40/40 Proportioning Valve
Chase Bays Teflon Brake Line Tuck Kit
Chase Bays Teflon Brake Lines
Interior
EF9 Front and Rear Seats
JDM Power Windows
EF9 Door Panels
New OEM
Rear Trailing Arm Bushings
Front Wheel Bearings
Tie-rod Ends
Ball Joints
Steering Rack
Here's my Civic after all the bodywork was done:
The car was in a wreck so the frame got pulled and an OEM header panel was put on.
For bigger brakes and rear discs the front spindles and rear trailing arms are from a DA Integra. All the bushings have been replaced with either polyurethane or OEM bushings and all the suspension was powdercoated black. I replaced the Blox LCA's with Skunk2 Black Series LCA's since the pictures.
Here are pictures of the frame and RH mount we had to make:
It's a huge pain in the *** getting in my wheelchair out of a slammed car so I'm replacing my Koni's with airbags from Ksport. That way I can just bump it up to get in my chair. But so it'll lay on the ground we cut and extended the strut towers so the LCA's won't hit anymore. The welds still need ground down and bodywork needs done obviously. The traction bar will sit on the ground now.
I bought my B16a when I was 16 12 years ago. That's what I'm putting in the Civic but with a JRSC on it. Here's a pictgure of it mocked up before everything gets powdercoated. I'm running stock pulleys so I'll have 7 pounds of boost. Should be a pretty fun car.

Right now we're working on getting it painted. I think I'm going with rio red like my 1st car. Stay posted, it's gong to be a pretty crazy build. I'm throwing way too much money at this thing.

2/8/15 Update
So today we planned on welding all the holes in the bay but we ran out of wire. So we just removed all the brackets from the firewall and got everything ready to weld next weekend. We got the shock towers done last weekend too.

Re: My never ending build thread. Ground up restoration
It's not me doing everything. My Dad and my buddies did most of it. It's all getting done by us though. Hopefully it'll be painted in about a month then we can start on all the wiring. It's going to be a nightmare but we'll get it done.
I've been thinking and might go with a red from a DC or an S2k. The red is a little brighter I feel and if you're into EF's you'll know the whole thing got painted. The one thing I'm bummed about is when I got the car I was just going to do a turbo D series. But now that I have Bought an Si since I have to do all the wiring for the B series trans anyways.
