yea you just have to bend the lines which isn't very hard to do. I'll be redoing mine and making custom lines, not really doing a tuck per say however I will be making the brake lines less noticeable.

Hey guys I know it's been a while but I never really properly ended my thread lol. So after all that I thought I'd compile a good and bad list. The goods are: The steering feels great, no more squeaks, the brakes kick *** with the new 250V booster and master cylinder and rear disks, the transmisson and short shifter are awesome, no grinds and very smooth, the shift is super short. The bads: I don't like how it rides, it feels way too hard/bouncy to me. I think the struts might be bottoming out with the springs but I don't know, it might just be that I'm not really used to a lowered car. Overall it was a great experience I've also got some good news. I just started working as a mechanic at a wonderful shop called Hoshi Motors. It is a Honda, Acura, Subaru, and Toyota full repair shop. It's one of the best in the country, been the #1 shop in Colorado since like the 80's. They used to only be Honda and Acura but have expanded. They have 3 of Honda Americas top ranked mechanics and I get to learn from these guys! It's the first job I've actually enjoyed waking up for lol. That being said a guy there is giving me a complete D16Z6 with harness and ecu for only 100! I was planning on just doing a mini me but he was like "if you give me 100 you can take anything you want" So I figured I might as well take the whole thing. It's out of a 94 civic ex the engine runs has an auto trans which blew that's how he got the car cheap and it has 240,000 miles. So I'll rebuild the head for sure. My question is since I have already rebuilt my d15b2 with all new stock internals and only have 800 miles on it should I just do the mini me and sell the block, or rebuild this one an sell my old? Is there even much of a difference between the two? Thanks guys, you've all been a great help

i have a crx jus like your and i did front end work like- upper control arms, upper and lower balljoints, tie-rods inner and outter, and some other bushings here and there n-e-way the steering wheel was kinda lose before i started and now it is real tight it seems like do the parts have to break in or what. there are no grease fitings but i have a needle grease gun and it is all greased any ideas much thanks.

Ya man, try adjusting the steering wrack gear. I show how to on the bottom of post #148 page 6 of my build. Try loosening that bolt a bit.

did you need a press to put in the new strut mount bushings or did the old just pop off with ease...!!!

No I didn't need a press to push them in or take them out. They were a bitch to get in though lol, having lowering springs helped a lot I just had to hulk smash! The old ones came off really easy.

Personal experience the B16 With a DPFI conversion is the way to go if no turbo is in the future. It is a great fuel efficient way to make a decent 15 sec car, but if you have the motor go ahead and do the mini me. just rebuild what is old to match. Then drive it and save for the B16. Good luck

Lol, I upgraded to new braided stainless steel lines for the brake conversion. Just get all four lines, they are only like 80-100. And I'm selling the GT Grant steering wheel if you're interested.

I'm kinda a single cam guy, not a huge fan of the B16...yet lol. I plan on going turbo in the near future. I basically was just wondering if there is really much of a difference between the z6 block and the b2. I know there are some minor diferences like bore and stroke, but I was wondering if they are equally as strong. What I think I'm gonna do Is mini me my current d15b2 block since it is practically brand new and completely build the z6 block. Then once I have blown the b2 I have a bullet proof block to swap in lol. I'm gonna boost the mini me setup and see what I can do on stock internals. One of our master mechanics is really into racing and building Hondas and he has an EG civic with a B18 ls motor completely stock internals, running 20lbs of boost on E85 and he's running 11's! That's rediculous lol. It's all in the tune. I'm gonna be trying a similar setup, E85 sock internals, and probably lower boost like 10-15ish. I know the B18 has stronger stock internals the d-series but I'll see what I can get away with
