Default LS vs. GS-r trans input shaft?

I am tried to put a cable YS1 gsr trans into my B16A1 equipped CRX and it would not go> i had an LS transmission it there w/ omni clucth set. The question is, do i need a different friction disk to match the GSR trans input shaft? they both have 24 splines but splines on the LS seem to be a bit deeper. any suggestions?

the GSR(all 92 and up B trans) have the same spline count but thicker splines than the 90-91 b series trans...more than liheky your clutch disc and LS trans are a 90-91 style input and therefore the 92+ won't fit the disc, you just need a new disc for 92+
