Default LOUD! knocking from wheels when turning

ok so i put my swap in and didn't get aligned just forgot too thats all and now my 15" tires a bad so i throw my old 14's on the front for now, so i have at least some tread. ok with the 15's there was this loud knocking noise and i thought it waz the lower controll arm bushing at first,change that not the problem. i thought the lsd was just locked together some how but i put the 14's on and the knocking noise now only does it when i turn left its not CV axle change 3 time thinking that. but my alignment is so off that when u hit the gas the car pulls to the right hard. i have to hold the steering wheel at like left 45 degrees to go straight. then it knocks while i'm driving just woundering if any one might know wasup, before in take it to get it aligned. the driver side ball joint is bad the boot is torn off and ate up, and the springs are rusted and falling apart i want to get KYB AGX struts and skunk2 lowering spring.

Steering rack bushing . Sorry about your luck, time to pull it off and replace them.

i hope thats the problem there was one bolt missing from rack but i replaced about 2weeks and i did help. why would the different size tire change any thing tho? i went from a 15 to a 14 the tires are like a 1/2" smaller than the 15's

Do not quote me on this BUT I have seen some cars were there ball joints have bearings and when they go bad it makes a knock like you are describing. but you cant even notice it until you turn the wheels and the you hear the knock and its very loud too. Good luck

ok what about this when i turn in nuetral it doesn't knock.
when i turn in in gear it doesn't knock.
but when i turn in gear and give it some gas to make the turn it does knock.

its perfectly fine if i speed up to the corner and coast throw the turn but the sec i touch the gas it knocks with the 15s. only on the left with the 14s.

are you axles tightened all the way down? sounds like your tires or axles are moving when you turn, have you lifted the car and tried to see if the tire wobbles <--- (is that how you spell it haha)

every thing tight i hit every bolt with a impact. i have even put it on jack stand and put it in gear and turned the wheel there no noise when the weight is off the car.if it starts to knock when i turn and i just stick my foot inthe gas its fine but goin slow is what knocks, rairly when i hit a bump inthe road it makes the noise. i've check axles, bushing, bearing can't figure it out. its a pain when driveing it ooo and the steering wheel kinda wants to jurk back when it knocks. i don't know whats up with it i didn't make the noise befor i swap motors. but i understand the motors have about 200 extra pound more than a d series.

I would still say its your ball joint because if you are just turning with no gas the ball joint is not under presser. But when you give it gas it is thus causing a knock.

Edit: I just seen in your other post you said your steering wheel jerks a bad ball joint will do that if its bad enough.

it sound like ur right the ball joints are all beat up theres a lots of flat spot on them. plus one of the boots is torn off i shoot some grease up in it last time i had the hub off it was bout 3 week ago. but there so many things that need to be fix on my suspension like the springs and struts, ball joints, camber, alignment the list goes on. if i take the hub and spendal off don't i have to have it realigned. if so than it would be wise to just wait and buy all new strut and shocks and ball joint and bushing and fix it all at once. right.

Yeah because just jamming new parts in with broken parts will just shorten the life of the new parts. And it could throw the balance off in your car too if you replace one tire replace em all kinda thing.


EDIT!!!!: since i am on a trial i cannot post more than 5 times lol so anyway yes that new parts list seems to inculed everything you would need.

i justed replaced lower control arm bushing

this is what i think i need:

tein lowering springs 1.25in
KYB AGX struts
New ball joints
Camber kits

is there any thing u think ill need that i forgot.
