interchangeable brake rotors 89'/90'
Hello HT. This is my first post on here. I had heard about this forum and thought it might help provide some useful information about questions that may arise in my journey with my 89 Si. Anyway, my question is..Im looking to get new brake rotors for my civic and, i went to Orielly Auto Parts and for my 89 they don't have the Bosch brake rotors, which are lifetime warranty( what i want 
) . I would have to order them (they would be here the next day so no biggie) but when i asked them to check the 1990 model year and they do have the Bosch brake rotors but instead of the stock 241mm overall diameter they are 262mm overall diameter. would i be able to put those rotors on my 89 Si? i get they are a bit bigger but would it cause any issues? would i need to get different calipers to make it work. Cause having bigger rotors sounds pretty good to me. Thanks in advance from your input

262 mm i believe are for the civic ex sedan. that almost extra inch will not fit your calipers. If you want the 90-91 civic ex brakes you need the knuckles from the civic ex sedan.

you also dont want the Civic sedan LX rotors. theyre not larger in diameter, but thicker and not compatible if you have new pads since theyre not made for the caliper of a 3dr Civic or CRX.

it says "overall diameter: 262mm" so i don't think that its talking about the thickness but i think ill just order the the 241 diameter ones. I just thought maybe Honda upgraded the rotors for the 1990 model
