Installing Windshield Trim...
Searched and found some useful info but have a few questions...I had to fix some rust around the windsheild area and when i took the oustide moulding off the perimeter of the windshield i just ripped it off. Parts of the moulding cracked because of old age so i'm just going to have to buy it new from honda. Here's the deal...the windshield wasn't removed just the outer molding so how do i install new trim? It was pretty tough to take out and it looked like i might have to pull the windshield up and fit the moulding around it before pushing it all into the car. Or do i just have to fit the new moulding into the existing "sealed" windshield/body crevace and press it into with some sealant?
Thanks,
Vince

There are two different trims you can buy from Honda. One of them is specifically made for cars that have the windshield removed and then there is the other trim that presses in and requires the window to be installed prior to the trim.

Do you know were to get the press-fit with a window that is already in place. Gotta pull my molding to get to some rust as well and for paint job.

Found it on Hparts.com...it's $52.71 which is pretty cheap considering my local honda said $95 for it!!!! Here's the link http://www.hparts.com/cgi-bin/...93875

Oh and that's the press fit one for when the winshield is still in the car. I found out the only difference is that this one doesn't have a metal rib in it so it's easy to press in.

By the way...if you are looking for this molding...also check out Majestic Honda on the web. I usually buy my OEM parts from them as they are cheaper even after shipping than any of my local Honda dealerships. Good website as well.
