88-89 are smaller and more square, and the 90-91 are larger, round, and stick out more.

Also I believe the 88-89 have a 6750 redline for the SI, and the 90-91 don't have the enlarged 55mph. That's if I recall, I know the size is different.

I believe your right, the 88-89 have smaller font, than the 90-91.
