Default How To/Possible To move dash fuse box wires to new fuse port? Reason inside...

Long story short, I installed aftermarket fogs in my 91 hatch and wired the + to the fuse for the park lights. Upon the install, I removed the 10A fuse and replaced it with a 20A. That was my first mistake...

Cluster lights, climate control and park lights run off of this same fuse and all stopped working. I thought it was my alternator so I had it rebuild. Installed rebuild unit and still nothing. Got to pulling the fuse for those lights and I noticed where one of the legs for the fuse goes in its a touch black. Since then, when trying to run lights, park lights MAY come on after some time of going down the road, sometimes they do not. My thought:

Either side of that fuse port is empty. Would it be possible to move those wires over to either location being I feel the OEM location is burned up and rendered useless? If so, whats the best method of doing this? Anyone done this before?

If so, provide me with some insight on the issue. TIA guys and gals!

Your headlight switch might be damaged already if you didn't use a relay. did you use a relay?
If you skip the relay you will burn out your switch and possible other things.

What do you plan on moving? The stock wiring, or your foglight wiring?

I wired in some foglights and I used the under hood fuse box, the spot the battery connects to. Then a few inches down the wire I put a fuse, then it runs to a relay. Make sure to use the proper gauge wire as well.

It seems like you learned your lesson about never using a higher amperage fuse, which you should NEVER do (if you didn't get it).
