Default How to paint side molding?

http://www.geocities.com/kizzyle_burns/01.jpg -my car (copy and paste into new window)

I want to paint the side molding white, but I have no clue how to do it. Would I just cover the car around it and spray paint it? Or is there a way to get it off? Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are screws on the end of the molding then they should pop out of the lil holes. Then I would figure that you would clean em, sand em, prime em, then paint em. Spraying them would leave paint that would crack and peel eaisily. Also try searching about paint topics.

i painted my door molding by taking it off. i then used aircraft paint remover to strip it of any oils, wax, paint etc. then i primered it 2 layers and then used trim spray paint to paint the trim, 3 layers. my trim didnt need any sanding since it was in good condition. it looks alot better. i need to do my bumpers next but im going to remove the bumpers to paint instead of masking the entire car

WORD^^^ make sure you dont use anyother paint thn that trim paint,( krylon i belive) unless you are gettin it painted somehwere else. and if you go to like macco or sumthing make sure you pay the extra to put a flex agent in the paint because they could give a **** about wether or not its gunna last. also befor you paint your mouldings IF possiable heat them up...... heat gun/hairdrier.... something, you want the plastic to expand befor you paint it. cause if not on a hot day it might crack from expanding.
