Default how do I know if my struts are blown?

I am using factory struts on my 90 crx si with 172, 000km's and recently lowered it using eibach 1.2 inch pro spring drop kit. My rear struts were leaking so I replaced them with a set of factory oem replacements (monroe sensatrac) but I didn't replace the front struts b/c they weren't showing signs of leaking.

I've noticed when I was driving that the ride is really really bumpy and when I hit bumps its pretty bad. So bad in fact that I fried my cd player in my car!

Even though my struts aren't leaking how do I know if they're screwed and need to be changed? I was going to replace the fronts with monroe's as well or even possibly honda factory struts.

What are your recommendations? Money is super tight and I'm not looking for insane handling, just something better than stock. Tokico blue's come to mind but that require that I change the rear struts again.

thanks

if the car's bouncy, change the struts.

lowering springs will blow out stock struts, don't put oem ones in there. i hear good things about blues when using the springs you have. and you can get just the front ones, and back later or even never. most of the weight is in the front, anyway.
