Default Honda Crx OEM Windshield ?

I need to replace my windshield in my 91 crx si.
I have called around to a few shops and they will come out to my house and replace it for $139-160 without the gasket.
I already have the Honda gasket from Majestic.

Here is the question:
Is there a difference between the windshields that these auto glass shops are using compared to the OEM Honda one??
The OEM Honda one is $308.22 from Majestic.

The aftermarket windshields fit like crap. I had a glass place replace mine and the new oem honda gasket/seal I bought didnt fit , their glass was too thick. 2 windshields later( after ordering them from 3 different glass suppliers) I got one that kinda fit with the oem gasket. maybe im just too particular. they all would have worked with the crap universal gasket they tried to get me to use. Also check their policies, the glass shop I got mine from stated perfect oem fit, and comes with new gasket. they told me the stock gasket wasnt available anymore which was bs. the only place they could get one from was honda so they didnt want to pay $$ since no aftermarket gasket was available. After threating a chargeback on my credit card they took the price of the oem gasket off of the $200 bill. They were also pissed when I brought it back 2 months later for a free windshield since they gave a lifetime guarantee on defects, the crap aftermarket glass cracked on the INSIDE layer during an auto-x.

It wasnt worth the hassle, if I did it again I would get honda glass

I put glass in for a living just left the job 3 weeks or so ago. We got our glass from 3 places. Car Lite, Service auto glass, Pilkington. All 3 places were pretty good but it seemed as if pilkington did somthing with thier glass as if it seemed better quality and yea it was more to get it from them but not buy much. The windows all seemed to fit pretty well except for the newer cars because the windows for them have to be pretty perfect the seal is molded like onto the window. take a look at a new civic thems the bitches the seals only half inch wide. My hatch right now has a circle bigger than a basket ball thats shattered and of course spidered through out the passenges side also. i am replacing it with a window out of another hatch i got but i think that one might be aftermarket. I think the best thing would be to find a OEM used window out of a wrecked crx or somthing and us it. thier easy as pie to take out and install
