Default Headlight differences...

OK, so I searched and didn't find an exact answer to my question, came close, but still no luck..

My question is... Is there a difference in the SHAPE of a JDM 90-91 hatch headlight than that of the USDM 90-91 headlight. I know that the hatch, rex, and sedan headlights are all the same (USDM), only they utilize different mounting brackets and the brackets differentiate from 88-89 and 90-91.

I found this post in another thread...

1. notice how the headlights itself between crx, hatch and sedan are all THE SAME.
2. notice how the 'buckets'/mounting brackets itself between crx, hatch and sedan differ from the years.
3. notice how the coner lights itself between crx, hatch and sedan mounts the same way. [88-89 two screws; 90-91 one screw on the tab]
4. notice the crx corner lights are 'evenly' curved.
5. notice the hatch corner light have one sharp corner than the crx.
6. notice the sedan corner light have one sharp corner, BUT shorter than the crx or hatch.
7. notice that both the jdm crx headlight and jdm hatch headlight are the same.
8. notice that the jdm sedan headlight has the corner light and headlight as a 1-piece design.
9. notice that both the jdm crx and jdm hatch headlight uses one light bulb.
10. notice that the jdm sedan headlight STILL uses two light bulbs? [correct me if im wrong]

any corrections let me know.
Now my question is, if it is possible to utilize USDM headlights with an SiR front end.

you should be able to. however, the jdm headlights are a little bit longer,by longer i mean closer to each other, so if you use the jdm hood there will be a gap between the hood and the headlights.

the "88-89" sedan corner is wrong. that one is also an 88-89 hatch.

JDM EF3 headlights have the same shape and size as the EDM EC/ED Civic and all USDM hatchbacks.

The difference is to be found on the SIR / VTEC models. As the previous poster told they wont fit to your USDM frontend.

Here you can see the differences in shape and size:

Theese are all hatchback head lights!
