Default Gas tank swap?

The fuel pump is in the tank and you have to pull the tank to replace the pump as far as I understand. So has anyone ever swapped in an EG or EK tank so they can replace from the top?

Dropping the tank isn't hard. Besides, once you put a new fuel pump in, you shouldn't need another for a long time. why complicate things?

wellll...the tank isnt the reason you can change it from the top on an eg. the eg has a hole in the chassis to access the pump. ef not so much. anyone else agree? or am i crazy..

exactly. you can see the pump kinda buut cant really access it from top on the ef. eg has a hole there to do just that. remove the pump. i love seeing ppl trying to remove the tank on an eg to change the pump lol when will they learn..even seen a 4dr in a shop with the tank down. 427 bucks wasted!

Remove the fuel tank, air it out and make sure all fuel is out and vapors gone, then have a proper welder cut the bottom of the tank, and weld in a few baffles. There are baffles in there from the factory, but the ones around the fuel sock area are a bit shorter then they could be.

In all honesty, if you are getting starvation, its a good idea to yank the fuel sock out for an inspection and see if its clogged up. I didnt have issues in a few of my EF/ED cars with very stiff suspension and grippy tires.
