Re: front crossmember removal (category5 SI)
Should be 4 bolts, two on each end. I used a 17mm and a breaker bar or impact. Be ready, they are pretty tight.

Re: front crossmember removal (category5 SI)
Jackstands are better.
Unbolt the 4 bolts.
Unbolt the 6 bolt holding the tow hooks
Let the crossmember drop down then unbolt the bolt on the front of each radius arm.
Pull the crossmember forward and off.
Takes about 10 minutes.

i would think so..cause when i remove the radius rods i always have to remove the shock fork from the lower control arm to access the 2 bolts from the radius rod.......i personally never get an alignment after,,but i can see it beeing possible to throw it off a bit

I personally feel safer working under a car on ramps. And yes, it is possible to remove the crossmember when the car is on ramps. You might not have the easiest time removing the crossmember this way, though. But removing the tow hooks can make the job easier.

Re: front crossmember removal (StorminMatt)
NO; you can't use ramps!!!!!
Think about this, you are removing the radius arms and they are what keeps the wheels from moving fore and aft. The wheels could move and cause major problems.

best thing is jack up the car under the cross member, put the jackstands on both sides under the fenders...then you're good to go,,then use the jack again to help lowering the crossmember...i hope you have a good jack that can actually go high enough for jackstands,,

Re: front crossmember removal (crxnj)
If you take it off by removing the radius rods from the front LCAs instead of removing the radius rods from the cross member and then put everything back on, you will not change the alignment. If you don't get the radius arms back on in exactly the same way, then you will change your caster which coudl change your camber and toe.

just unbolt the radius rods from the LCA's and you wont need an alignment.
could even just mark the bolt and nut and retorque it the same. that would work too. but the lca route is the ticket.

Re: (welfarepc)
Jackstands, and be ready to spend 30 minutes undoing the 4 bolts for the radius rods...
I purchased the innovative crossmember with poly bushings. I Installed it along with my DC header, and Progress coilovers. Went to get a alignment done that afternoon, and caster was off on my front driver side wheel... At the bottom of the box was a small box with Caster washers that I didn't see when I pulled it out of the box. I went back the next day, and they re-alligned it for me.

I removed my front crossmember today, left the radius rods on the LCA's and replaced the radius rod bushings. Everything went back on fine, and there seems to be no effect on the wheel alignment. I may have been lucky, but i didn't see any way of adjusting these rods even if i wanted to.
Just thought i'd come back to help future searches.
