Default Fluidyne half size radiator.. 89 crx, b16

does anyone know the part # on this thing? I was browsing fluidynes website, ebay, and honda-tech and I can't get a clear answer on whether or not the half size crx fluidyne even exists.. someone please fill me in.

Also, on the fluidynes, do the b16 rad hoses fit on them or do you have to trim them like on the stock radiator?

c&r has the smaller radiator that bolts into the stock crx mount locations or you could get a crossmember and a 92-00 civic fluidyne radiator

okay, I've been reading through some of the old posts and have come to the conclusion that a z10 crossmember and a 92-95 radiator is the swap that I need.. is that right? does the 92 radiator hit the hood or have any clearance issues with the z10?
someone out there must have this setup.. please chime in.

I have it, they actually use the same part # for the 92-95 Civic because it is the same damn radiator!! When I originally ordered it directly from Flyuidyne they said it would bolt right in. They never said with modifications as it it the radiator for a 92-95 Civic. Whatever, I made my own mounts.

I have the c&r and it uses Factory mounts and places the radiator in the middle. You can use your b16 hoses . The C&R is about 3/4 size but I lowered my bottom mounts and made it fit back under the hood latch to let the turbo fit. I'll try to post some pics.

if you take this route be careful, There is 2 versions of the z10 crossmembers, one version is for the fullsize crx radiator, and the other version is for the half size civic radiator.

the halfsize civic radiator will not fit in a crx with a stock xmember, its about an inch too tall, you would have to shave the feet off the radiator and probably make some notches in the x member to get it to work.

goodluck.

so you have to spend $500 on a crossmember that has mounts for the 92-95 for the ef chassis and the hood still will not close? anyone running the z10 and the half rad on here to clarify this?

no

you didnt read it correctly.

they make 2 kinds of z10 bars, one that is for a stock radiator, and one for a 92-00 civic radiator, if you spend 500 bucks and get the z10 for the stock radiator, and you buy a radiator for a 92-00 civic then you will be fucked,

get it now?

sort of, but what i'm wondering is will the 92-95 still hit the hood with the z10 w/92 brackets?
thats what i'm worried about, just wanted to know if the hood still would have to be cut out.

as far as i know it works perfectly with z10 with 92 brackets without hitting the hood.

someone that works for z10 posts here, maybe he will know.
