Default Fender removal?

To remove side fenders, do doors need to be removed for the fenders to come off?
91 crx si

Reading off manual on removing fender, it doesn't say anything about the door.
Is it as easy as 1-2-3?
1. Raise the car
2. Remove tire/wheel
3. Remove inner fender cover and mounting bolts

Thanks.

Thanks, slammedef8.

I opened the door and tried put the socket through the gap b/t fender and door, and it wouldn't go through. I will try it later on.

I use a set of 1/4 inch sockets with a swivel extension. Never comes close to the door.

Maybe doing CRX fenders are a lot easier than a Hatchback, but here is what I have to do.

1. you have to remove the turn lights

2. you have to remove the front bumper and that includes the metal trim piece between the headlights.

3. remove the inner fender

4. then you can get to all the bolts around the fender

The reason for the front bumper having to be removed is to get to the bolts that are hidden there.

As stated before, you don't have to remove the doors. I use a wrench to loosen the two bolts behind the door leading edge and then 1/4" drive socket to remove the bolts the rest of the way.

It's a lot of stuff, but not hard at all.
