Default engine lags power from idle or 650 to 1750 rpm

ok heres problem. i reset the timin on my rex due to the fact that i put in a new belt and water pump cuz the old pump seized, the problem im having now is that ive got ABSOLUTELY no power from idle to about 1750 rpm. im not used to this problem seeing as how rex is an 88 dpfi and im wantin to work out all the kinks in this motor b4 i do a full si swap. ne suggestions wud be appreciated

check the ignition timing.

ive done that and everything is tdc. im very confused on this

no the ignition timing. where you use a timing light and turn the distributor to adjust it. if the old belt was stretched or off a little then the ignition timing will be different with a new belt.
