I don't think hondata has a chip...they're mostly piggy back system, except for a couple of models like the S300, in which it's socketted to the ecu. Unless you paid a lot of money for your ecu, the seller probably just made it up

If you're worried about smog, you can always get a pretest. Most smog stations will give you one before actually smogging your car...

nope...you'll fail visual for sure..you need to use your stock intake manifold and stock header. Given it's a "DC", unless the carb number is clearly visible, I wouldn't risk it. There are a lot of as*hole technicians that will just turn you away without even testing only because of your "visual effects" that's not "legal".

Good luck

Also, I'd take the short ram intake out unless it came with the motor. It's stu*id I know, but when I had my car ref'd, I had an AEM CAI, made for an EF and the ref said that to pass visual, you must use intake/exhaust/wiring from donor car. I explained that if I use a CAI or exhaust piping made for an Integra, it wouldn't fit. He said not his problem and he's just enforcing the rules...what a mor*n

no they dont...they just put it on the dyno, hookup the tail pipe sensor and a couple of wires on the dizzy and ground, that's it.

Yes you do...but I was one of the few lucky ones that was inspected by a stup*d ref He didn't check if I did the upgrade or not, he simply checked my O2 sensor if it was a 1 or 4 wire. I failed because of that but when I came back for a retest, all I did was upgrade to a 4 wire O2 and it worked.

no...you can do the simple upgrade, wire harness/jumper/distributor/injectors (you have to dump the resistor box)/ecu...and try to make your engine bay looking "stock" if possible.
