Dam fasten seat belt chime on a 1990 honda civic EX
I can not find any information about disabling the "Fasten Seatbelt" Chime on this 1990 Honda Civic EX.
Who might know if and how It can Be done.
Thanks

thats not a very bright thing to do .. kinda like breaking up with your girlfriend and disabling the passenger side air bag... and ... well
but yeah they can be a drag..
If you are stupid enough to drive without a seat belt .. then theres no helping you..
please do it in another car that way they can sell your EX after your funeral and it won't be all smashed up...
however
there is a wire from the seat belt that runs either through the console or under the rug under the seat. .. there is a connector there under the seat and then another wire that runs to the dash where the beeper/timer unit is located... its a pretty easy circuit but maybe its lose or got wet or ... who knows.
I would suspect that if it is always sounding .. that you need to check that connector.
if the alarm doesn't stop after 5 seconds you probably have a problem with the beeper/timer you will just have to replace it.
the wires that run from the seatbelt to the beeper timer are red and blue
the beeper timer you already know is under the driver side dash.
continuity should be detected at the connector under the seat that goes to the seat belt when you test it with an ohm meter....
again
please do not disable this in your vehicle
fix it
