Wiring harness with OBD-1 conversion, D16Z6 engine, P28 ECU... Thats pretty much it man. Use your same trans, mounts, linkage. It's pretty strait forward... anyone else is free to chime in

The motor goes in the same way as your existing motor provided that you reuse your driver's side motor mount AND bracket. Reuse your existing harness, you may need to extend some wires or extend some vacuum lines (I say this specifically for the MAP sensor and purge solenoid, it's up to you if you want to keep those sensors mounted on the firewall as is OR if you want to utilize the ones that mount to the Z6 manifold/throttle body). You will definitely want to replace the fan switch plug (and extend if needed) to the newer style unless you want to tap the block to use the older style fan switch. Use a jumper harness for the ECU and it should have pig tails for VTEC related plugs. That should be about it.

Convenient... I am looking to swap a Vtec head on, and have a line on the head and ECM, no problems. But, do I need a harness to swap it over to OBD1? Seems like some contradiction in this thread, or I am severely misunderstanding everything.

Is it a matter of just wiring in the Vtec to the existing harness? That would be easy.

Use your Si harness and add or adapt the following:

-OBD0-OBD1 ECU adapter harness with P28 ECU
-OBD0-OBD1 distributor adapter harness
-rewire fan switch from the back of the block to the thermostat housing
-use your obd0 injectors and keep the resistor box
-run wiring for 4 wire O2, VTEC solenoid, and VTEC pressure switch from each sensor the ECU connector
-use the mount on your engine's (D16A6) driver side on the Z6
-use the MAP sensor on your throttle body or the one on the firewall

this is how to do it. dont worry it isnt as hard as it seams. rewiring a dx model is alot harder! good luck

Ahh fml. Back to the research boards. I am SO new to honda stuff guys. What I come from, nothing is very interchangeable. Sorry for the stupid question.

You can And I did run the pr3 for a while. But for the best just get the p28. The pr3 and pwo will both look for a second 02 and knock sensor both of which the z6 doesnt have
