Default d16a6/d16y8 mini-me timing belt issues

Ok so I am just about finished doing my motor swap and go to put on my timing belt and it won't fit. So I call my buddy who is a senior honda tech, and he said that I either have the wrong belt, water pump, or tensioner..

So need some input from people running d16a6/d16y8 mini-me combos..

what timing belt ,water pump and tensioner are you running?

also don't know if it matters but I am running a d16a6 oilpump with d16a6 crankgear..

any info would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!

also the tensioner is fully extended and the belt still will not fit.

Ok I think the problem is that I am running a d16a6 water pump and need to run a d16y8 waterpump and tensioner.

Anyone got comments on this?

I just figured this out yesterday, and you now officially owe me the amount equal to 31.20 ounces of beer (That's how much I payed in $ for my timing belt).
With the following pretense -
The Z6 Head and the Y8 head are the same (cam mounting points)
The Z6 TB and the Y8 TB have the same length (104 teeth)

You would use a D15B7 Timing belt with 106 teeth on a D16A6.

ok so you are saying
1. d15b7 timing belt
2. d16a6 waterpump
3. d16a6 tensioner

and what year car did the d15b7 come in?

I don't say this often but you are the man Dr. Latino999.

And here I was thinking I was all badass because I thought I knew everything there was to know about the mini-me swap...WRONG!!!

Thanks Man

Thanks Man </TD></TR></TABLE> I thought the same thing, up until I realized the A6 tensioner was bigger then the Z6 and the decks were the same height.

One other question anyone had any issues running O'reily waterpumps?

My buddy says that he sees aftermarket waterpumps come in to the dealership failing all the time, anyone else got a opinion on this?
