D15B6 Piston Specs?
My gf's cousin has a D16Z6 with some HF pistons in it...said it gave it some nice compression. He's goin to be giving me the motor if this other guy doesn't buy it...so I wanted to see what I'm lookin at gettin. Where would the HF pistons sit compared to the other stock d-series pistons? Anyone have any specs on them or can tell me where to go?

wasnt the HF an 8 valve engine? people keep saying you cant use a 16 valve head with the 8 valve pistons because they interfere. ive never tried it though.

the only way he has that done is if he cut new valve reliefs in the pistons. That would make the already weak HF pistons, even weaker. If i were you and wanted to go the cheap OEM piston route. Just get dx pistons. There .4:1 higher than the Si's.

do you know where to find the specs on the dx (d15b2) pistons? ie...compression height, piston-to-deck clearance, dish/dome volume?

d15 pistons have the wrist pin in a slightly different location. you should get some pm7/p29 pistons (88-89 teg), or some 86-87 teg PGB6 pistons.. (i think thats right..)

Thnx for the insite...hopeully his motor doesn't blow on me too fast. He's been running around on it for awhile now, so I should be ok. Do you have the compression height, piston-to-deck clearance, dish/dome for the D15B6 piston by chance also?
