hmm, i'm intrigued.
I'm currently looking into running a 4th gen. SI cam, with an adjustable Skunk2 (sohc) cam gear, in my dpfi engine. based on the above statements, would i have to get a different ecu? LS, Si pm6, etc?

^^ in a dpfi d15b2 you have to first do mpfi swap to be able to use the a6 cam and then you need the d16y7 or y8 cam gear to use the cam without no timing issues and you can use a pm6 ecu.

the first thing you should mod on your dpfi d15b2 is the intake manifold , not the cam . dpfi sucks.......actually, no it doesnt.

Using other ECU's are bandaids for the butt dyno, along with the "IAT Mode," Raising the fuel pressure for no reason, and I'm sure there are more you can think of but I don't condone.

WHY IN THE HOLY HELL WOULD YOU PUT A TURBO ON A DPFI ENGINE???
THATS LIKE WIPING BEFORE YOU TAKE A ****... IT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL!!!
DO THE MPFI SWAP AND THE PM6 ECU. USE THE ADJUSTABLE SKUNK2 CAM GEAR AND CALL IT A DAY!!!
JEEZ!!

please dont take anything out of your TB. its there for a reason. plus you'll feel really stupid when you drop the screws in your intake.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

The only reason it's in there is to adjust the idle when the motor is cold, that's it. It's a huge bottleneck in the TB and you will feel a gain removing it. I mean, using your logic you can tell people not to remove their air resonators, I mean, Honda put it there for a reason too, or to remove your exhaust, etc etc.. If you're into modding cars, you'll mod them..

Did you have CAI or a WAI? I noticed even with a WAI where the intake goes behind the battery, throttle response felt slugish.. but if you have a really short intake you'll feel the difference in the low end and throttle response... That little TB is so puny I think having any tube longer than my **** would suffocate it.. I know I'm lame and have too much time on my hands for testing out different intakes on a DPFI..

Here's the setup I had.. you can see I totally removed that round black box aswell as to help direct the air without less restriction to the anus sized TB

i had a short ram intake.. dont konw what wai is. maybe there was a slight gaine but nothing worth doing really. but if you have lots of time on your hands then sure go ahead.. i just dont think the risk of droping a screw down there is worth it. your intake looks like the ones on the newer civics(eg) they got a black box on there aswell and iv seen intakes look like that on them.
