Cutting one piece AEM CAI to install bypass valve?
Just wanted to ask if anyone has cut into two pieces a one piece AEM intake...
Since I moved from San Diego to San Antonio I didnt relize that the roads and rains here are alot more frequent and deeper. My concern is hydrolocking my motor since my rex is lowered and im running the CAI.
I was thinking of buying the bypass vavle, but my concern is cutting the intake.
Has anyone done this? Also what did you use to cut it/ was is a clean cut without destorying the chrome finish?
Thanks,
Mig

ive used rotary cut off wheels.
tape off the edges and follow the line to keep it straight. or, same method with a hacksaw.

no problem.
just take it slow and be patient, it'll come out a clean cut. dont rush it.
