crx wobbles BAD on hwy
so as some of u know I just recently finished my crx. so today I decide to take it on a long drive (50miles) , im on the hwy fine and then all of a sudden the steerin wheel starts shakin, kinda like when your alignment is WAY off. then it proceeds to get REALLY bad. so i pull over. check everythin to see if anythings loose. nothing. get back on the hwy and its fine. on the way back same thing again. starts off slow , then the wobbling gets NASTY , to where you can hear it really bad. I decided to tap the brakes a little to see if it would fix it. NO. it jerks my car to the left all while makin BAD vibrations on the drvr front rotor. I keep driving and it gradually goes away (this is at 60-70mph its doin this) so I get home and park and my drvr side rotor is HOT! I can feel the heat standing next to the wheel, I smell it too. I check the pass side and its fine. I touch it to make sure its hot.Im guessin i have 2 problems here maybe? the brakes and whatever the hell it is with my suspension. i doubt my alignment would affect me THAT much would it?
suspensionwise, this is what has been done:
Totem traction bar
installed KYB AGX shocks w/ skunk2 coilovers from old crx
replaced the drvr caliper & rotor
bled all brakes (in random order)
wheels are fine and balanced from when it got new tires a month ago. i know it needs an alignment but not THAT bad, it drives funky around the city 40mph but it doesnt wobble like that. maybe someones had this experience so im posting it just in case I can get some help. tomorrow im going over EVERY nut and bolt on that front end just to be on the safe side. post up peeps!

Check your hub bearing dude! 'nough said. Either your bearing is loose and is starting to rip through...or your bearing is loose and is causing the LCA to back off the castle nut and break right through the coder pin(sp?) <---first hand experience that happened to me and then the whole hub assemble including brakes/rotor, everything dropped into the inside of the rim.....scary ****...double check all bolts and nuts...and pins.

I replaced the caliper with one off a 91 Si. i have SS lines on it. I bled the brakes in no specific order as well. u think the caliper I got was bad? a buddy of mine said it sounds like the piston was gettin stuck on it , hence the EXTREMELY hot rotor and the car jerkin to one side when i lightly tapped the brakes. : / this sucks. I was excited to have this car runnin and was hopin to get it to Ennis 1/4 track this fri. I have a good amount of work to finish in order to pull it off.

check your motor mounts. They may look ok from the outside but could be ripped/torn. this is what it was in my car. So I did a motor swap and put all new mounts in no more steering wheel shake/shifter shake

if its that hot on one side. yes. You didnt replace anything else did you? Caliper\ master Cylinder, Brake booster? Also air in your lines can cause it to stick. The caliper you got could be bad. Get a Reman one from Autozone or something. I think a set for 2, loaded ( Brake pads and hardware ) is like 100 bucks.

Re: crx wobbles BAD on hwy (CRXVTEC69)
I already have a swap in it with place mounts
well guys. I push the brake pedal and its EXTREMELY stiff. it barely goes in. i jacked the car up and tried to turn the drvr front wheel and it barely moves. I guess this means the caliper is locked up. I was thinkin about it:
the car i took the caliper off of, I remember it was really HARD gettin it off the rotor, it was all tight on the rotor and i had to bang it loose. I have a feelin it was bad already when i got it.

Re: crx wobbles BAD on hwy (Ch3mik)
if you didnt use rotor screws or put on a lug nut, you might have put the rotor/pads on crooked as well...
otherwise if its not that, id check your wheel bearing or inner and outter tie rod...
i had a bit of a wobble in my steering wheel at high speeds and i know it was my inner tie rod which i just replaced...
