crx FUEL guage STUCK on FULL!
i bought a crx with the fuel gauge meter STUCK on FULL. It will not even move at all nothing even when i turn the key and start the car, it just stays on FULL. Could this be a bad Sender unit or bad gauge on the cluster? All my other ACC stuff work on the cluster temp, rpm and mph etc...

you dont have to drop the tank, the sending unit and fuel pump are seperate, and the sending unit is underneath the cover behind the driver and passenger seat. As far as ohm readings go i have no idea, it is possible that the guage itself is stuck

Yup its underneath the rear seat compartment. Im going to test the fuel sender unit tomorrow morning, i need to make a trip to walmart get me a multimeter in OHMS. This **** is pissing me off its annoying to drive around not knowing how much gas you have in the tank lol. I have a feeling the gauge meter is stuck, i probably need a new gauge...

Re: crx FUEL guage STUCK on FULL!
Back in my ricer days, I had indiglo gauges that slip on over the stock gauges. When I came to my senses and removed them, I must have bent the fuel needle because my fuel gauge was always on full. I eventually bought a junk cluster and swapped over the fuel/temp gauge to my cluster. Works great now.
Its either the sending unit, the gauge, or possibly a broken wire or two somewhere. You can search to find how to test the sending unit and gauge both.
