considering "mini-me" swap need some information
Recently did a mpfi swap, and am still looking to get a little more bang out of it. So my consideration of building a d15 head (perhaps vtec, or d16) with aftermarket cam and valves to get excess juice out of it. If i were to do this swap, would i be able to pass smog? And is it also possible to bore a d15 block 1.5l to a 1.6l? if i were to put a d16 head on, basically so i have a d15(stock) block under the hood and would possibly eliminate any smog issues, rather than using a d16 block. NOT ASKING FOR CRITICISM ONLY TECH ANSWERS WITH SOMEONE WHO MAY HAVE DONE SO ALREADY. THANKS

Hey,
If you want more pep out of your D, i'd go with a jrsc for simplicity and it's carb legal.
get a aftermarket 4-1 header, kamikaze or dc.
-d15b2 with a6 cam, z6 intake manifold
-d15b2 with complete z6/y8 head, y8 2 layer head gasket
there are a lot of oem upgrades that you can try, just be creative and don't expect it to pull like a k/h.

Mini me = sohc non vtec motor swapped with vtec head.......for ex. My D16a6 with y8 vtec head...more power but like anything else...u wanna play you gotta pay

Thank you so much roadster for the feedback, with what i interpreted, are all d-series interchangable, cams valves and all head parts in general?
