Default Codes 1 and 12 on CRX HF

I have a 1991 CRX HF with the original engine that has 237k miles on it. The car seems to run fine but sometimes has a bit of a hesitation problem and throws a code 1 and 12. I know code 1 is for bad or defective oxygen sensor and the code 12 is a defective EGR valve.

The questions I have are where would be the best place to get a new O2 sensor since Honda wants $150? I was looking online and found a couple of places that claim their O2 sensor is made by NTK and is OEM, see links below. Would this be a good place to buy a new O2 sensor and if not where would be the best place?

The second question I have is about the EGR valve and what should I do about it. I’ve read on here that some people say to clean it and that will help and other people say that cleaning it won’t do any good and it should be replaced. Would cleaning it do any good or should I just replace it?

You mean like this one?

Do you think that will work ok and not cause any issues?

Any info about the EGR?

I went out today to clean the EGR and it was really nasty and smelled like an old BBQ grill. I cleaned it really well and went to get another O2 sensor to put on the car. After cleaning the EGR and installing the new O2 sensor the car runs kind of ruff and has a bubbling sound coming from the exhaust.

I let the car warm up and idle for a while and didn't get the check engine light or any codes so I'm hoping that mabye the timing might be off a little and that will be the next thing I try.
