it is if they are ebay coilovers. some of the other brands, i'm not to sure on. usually if they are name brand coilovers, and made specifically for your application, they will not move. they would be like the stock springs and shocks. stiff and sturdy.

lol im running tien basic dampners off a DB8, the springs move around when you lift up the car, and at the same time they are also alllllll the way down. love the feeling of a firm car hehe

really? wow. my buddy's running tein on his integra and they aren't loose when the car is jacked up. maybe is just how they are adjusted then. if your's are all the way down, that would almost completely take the pressure off the spring when you jack it up i guess. good info.

Some coil overs run a tender spring on top of the real spring to keep everything in place. When loaded, the tender spring compresses and all the coils become "dead".
