those batteries are so small that when they start to go they can check good but still not be strong enough to start the car... also they are so small that you normally cant get a battery with more than a 2 year warranty .. check the date on the battery if its over 3 years old then replace it even if you take it to the store and the load test says its good.
You can find $50 off $125 coupon codes for Advance Auto or they normally have a 35% off coupon.. check slickdeals or fatwallet for a code.
another common thing that goes bad is the main relay its a small box about the size of a turn signal flasher and its hidden under the dash above the hood release normally .. they cost about $40 .. get the number off it and look on Amazon for the code and also advance auto.. I had one go bad and it was intermittent until it died and seemed like it would start or not start at will .. had me thinking it was the battery at first... then it finally just died..
but I would probably just replace the battery if its older than 3 years and giving you trouble.. I have had batteries last 5 years but only if I charged them often and didn't drive the car often.
Also put a volt meter on it when its running and make sure you're getting 13.5v at the battery terminals while its running.. that means the alternator is charging.. but sometimes a bad plate in the battery can cause that reading to be low .. you can check it right off the alternator + terminal to ground to make sure but its hard to get into that terminal especially when its running so clip a lead on it before you start the car if you do that
