brand new main relay: still clicking, sputtering
I've had an audibly clicking main relay for a few weeks now, and just replaced it with a new honda unit. No change. It still clicks and sputters simultaineously, w/ the cel flickering on until it gets going again. What else could make the relay do that? I suppose it's not impossible, but it seems unlikely to get a new, bad relay.
I tried the resoldering on my old one, and there was improvement but only for a few weeks. It's the worst in the cold. I read just about every archived post, but didn't anything helpful unfortunatly. This problem only started after a b16 swap. I've checked my grounds already, just in case. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

Did you check for a CEL code? You'll probably get a code 16 out of it because the main relay is interrupting the power to the injector circuit. I think you are losing power to the main relay from either a lose fuse, poor wire connection, or a faulty ignition switch.

i am having the same exact problem and i moved the thermostat grounds the the clean *** vtec solenoid and it is still doing it. it seems to happen when the car is under load like %50 or more throttle and in like 1st and 2nd gear more.

Mines is doing the same thing at part throttle or even wot when the car is warm. Now it won't start unless I jump it. New battery, cap , rotor, distributor king dizzy, starter, and the clicking noise is rapidly if trying to crank.
Anyhelp will gladly be appreciated.
