Brake pedal knocking on firewall

Brake pedal knocking on firewall
Sup HT, got a weird issue going on with my brake pedal. So sometimes when I press on the brake pedal it makes a knocking sound on the firewall??? It doesn't do it ALL of the time, but once it does it I can make it do it just by BARELY tapping the pedal. I stuck my head down there and looked around when I press on it and I can see the pedal pushing into the firewall and the knocking is coming from INSIDE the firewall......its not on the pedal assembly inside the cabin area. And its ONLY the brake pedal......gas/clutch pedals work fine with no funny noises.
So my question is this: is there a bushing or grommet or plug that is on the firewall that the brake pedal goes thru that may have come loose or wore out or something? I couldn't find anything on the exploded parts diagrams under the pedal assembly or the grommet/plug sections? Anyone ever have this problem before?
ANY help/advice/opinions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Re: Brake pedal knocking on firewall
This is all that holds your pedal to the brake booster.
A little pin goes through that hole and that's it.
There are 2 nuts that hold your MC to the booster
There are 4 nuts that hold the booster to the firewall/pedal assembly.
After the 4 nuts for the booster, there are a few more that hold the rest of the pedal assembly to the firewall.
Something sounds loose.
Go dig around and take a look at all the nuts and make sure they are tight.

Yep that is correct. I believe they are all 12mm nuts if I'm not mistaken. Had this issue a long time ago. Easy fix just make sure u check each one
