Default Brake pad question

What is the difference between organic and semi-metallic. I need new pads on my civic and was told the original equipment is organic. Would it be better to put semi-metallic?

semi-metalic is generally thought to be a better pad.. your rotors won't last as long though..

Default Re: Brake pad question (rimhead)

the difference is the compound. generally what outsane said is true. organic OEM replacements should do fine for everyday usage.
