bleeding my coolant system in a dohc zc
i am going to be cleaning my iacv and fitv soon and i believe that i need to bleed the air out of my cooling system, right? i know i need to remove the radiator cap and let it run until it is at running temp, then i need to turn it off, replace the radiator cap and remove the bolt from the bleed valve, correct? but i dont know where to look. is it on the head anywhere? its a 88 crx hf w/ dohc zc swap. any help is appreciated.

the bleeder valve is on the upper radiator hose outlet on the engine - kind of behind and below the distributor - don't replace the cap - just shut it off, open the valve and fill the radiator with coolant until it starts seeping out the bleed valve without bubbles, then close the valve - fill the overflow bottle and be sure to turn the heater on to hot when it is warming up to get any air out of the heater - the OBD0 DOHC ZC doesn't have a FITV

i cleaned my iacv last night then put it back on this morning, i connected the negative post and took the cap off, it was full to my surprise. when i tried to start my car it died likes it been doing,
this is what its been doing:
"in the morning when i start my car it dies, i can keep trying to start it without opening the throttle, then it idles @500 for a sec and builds up to 750 or 8, once it warms up and the needle passes the line, i can go without it dieing on me, but after i rev it or drive its idle bounces between 500 and 750, if its not warmed up well, it dies on me when i hold the clutch or stop. if its too cold in the morning, i have to open the throttle a lil bit for a min or two until it revs between 500 and 750."
Now, after the second time i started it didnt try to stay started, i had to give it immediate throttle to get it started, it died if i let off, so i had to hold for a min. then i let it rise from 500, very slowly to 750. when it was warm i turned it off, i didnt remember to leave the cap off and fill w/ coolant while the bleeder valve was open, when i started it nothing came out, now i know why i turned it off and replaced everything and started it again, every time i start it it stayed at 500, it was already warm, it usually bounces, when it idle at 750 for a min i revved a lil, it died. i started it again and revved as lil as possible and it died again. i didnt know what to think, i took it for a drive and every time i rev it or drive, and let off the throttle completely it died, it drives fine in first and shifting, but if i hold the clutch and let off the throttle it dies, i parked it and it died. im gonna let it cool off for a while and bleed it again, filling it with water this time w/ the bleed plug off. also, i cant do anything w/ the heater b/c i have nothing but vents on my dash, no radio nothing, just ashtray and lighter. the defrost button works for the rear hatch window i've noticed, but i dont think it blows any air.
Do you or any body else know what my problem is? i'd appreciate any help. srry for the epic.
