Best product to remove pinstripes?
I wanna remove the half worn off pinstripes on my hatch. Ive tried the "goo gone" stuff but had no luck. Im wondering if you guys know of a product that will remove it for sure?
All advice is appreciated...Thanks

Thanks Dave, but Im really concerned that it would strip my paint. Although the paint is 20 years old...lol

i bet a heat gun or if you have to a blow dryer would really help with whatever product you choose to remove it.
maybe even just a heat gun and a plastic squeegee?

It depends on the condition of the pinstripe. If it is newer, a heat gun will work, but the best thing to use is a Eraser Wheel from 3M. It has an attachment that you can use with any drill and that stripe will come right off, new or old. You can get them online for about $20-30 or I have also heard that Napa carries them as well. Hope that helps!

razor blade and laquer thinner.
youll have to remove the laquer quick because it
will dull your paint if left on. this is very fast and
very effective. the laquer is for the glue after you razor
the actual pinstripe off. hope this helps

i would use clay bar since it does not dammage paint or rubbing compound never use things like lacquer thinner or anything else that can damage paint. There is a paint and body forum on here i would ask there.
