Default best exhaust for hp gain

what is the best exhaust for b-crx proven to gain the most? I saw the exhaust thread and most of them is just the picture of different exhausts on crx not the type of performance each exhaust gave. So please let me know how your exhaust perform. Thank You for the info

I have a 89 hf and my plan is to drop in b18c1 with i/h/e/testpipe/intake manifold and 50 shot of n2o. I'm just researching around for the best mod so I can get everything together when I have the engine.

What an open ended statement.

I would love to see exhaust dyno comparisons but I'm sure there are a million different set ups. Just keep it quality material (and brand), mandrel bends, 2.5" should be fine, and use quality header and test pipe. I honestly can't say much more besides that. There won't be much difference in power between the top name exhausts for EF's but definitely lots of differences in look and sound.

I should be fine spaying up to 50 shot with colder plugs as long as the engine have good compession from all cylinder. Also, if spaying more than 50 shot to 75 shot then I need to retart my timing with something like MSD ignition timing controller. Anything more than 75 shot on stock internal then b18c1 will go bye bye. I guess nothing is cheaper than no a/c-power stering, test pipe and n2o.

Back to the exhaust topic <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by johnjw &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">thermal r&d ftw

I personally like the apexi N1 but I guess they don't make it for crx.

well to each his own, I personally don't like nitrous because I have seen engines blow with as little as 50hp shot hooked up, plain and simple stock engines are not made for n20, but whatever.

anyway I would recommend the rsr mag exhaust or the hks sport from the 88-91 civic and just cut to fit the crx.

that was w/ generic intake and w/a high flow cat. I'm still using the exhaust with my B16 and I think it works great, good build quality and very good sound. I guess I could say that it was the biggest hp mod I've made for the money.

Buddy Club Spec II is lightweight, straight-through, and eliminates the two 90* bends in the axle-back. Yes, it is extremely loud without the silencer.

I been tempted to go on the other side of the tank, but don't want heat so close to the gas. Do you have any pics of this exhaust on a CRX?

It doesn't go any closer to the tank than any other CRX exhaust. It is routed exactly the same as a regular exhaust, except after it goes over the rear control arm, it dumps out there on the right side of the bumper instead of making a turn.

User CrxWolf has one on his car. See here:

ran a 100 shot direct port on a B16 for months with no problems at all...... sold the car, and the motor ran up until the day the driver crashed it. know your facts junior..... have you ever ran the bottle?

While I don't agree with your insult of calling me junior (I am 21) I guess you are right, I have never ran the bottle and have only witnessed friends cars (as I have already said). If you would like to personally insult me IM and don't post it up for everyone to see.

As posted already I said whatever, obviously I am not experienced enough to comment on the subject and for that I am deeply sorry to all and regret for posting up my hear say.

There, you feel better about yourself?

Sorry I got off topic gents but this guy is forever bashing on someone.
are you still upset about yesterday?

i feel the need because that was a terrible post. he's never ran the bottle and only tells about stories and theories to why its not a good idea. i personally had a good experience, so i think my post is relevant. everybody know's you're the real EF forum hater anyway. what sort of help to you ever post? friggan H-T stalker, coming into every thread that i'm in with your dribble.
I am 'forever bashing on someone'? ha, look who's talking.

now here is a question for you....

why do you feel the need to come to everyone's defense when i correct them? same **** happened yesterday. get over yourself, "COP".

i'm 40 years old now? wow. I'm 26. I run my own business and I'm a sponsor of H-T. I am not on honda-tech 23 hours a day for your information, and since i pay my internet bill, i can be on here all the time i want. half of this website doesn't hate me. but thanks for the heads up. that elementary school insult really hurt. you need to check your facts. whatever beef you have with Ash, is between you guys.

" I am the EF hater correct. " as soon as I called you out on that, you've been going around giving people thumbsup and trying to give out advice. and that's great..... but in PM's and behind people's back you point out little flaws on cars that you have no intentions of buying anyway.... which is funny, you have a technicolor civic with like 18 different colors.

IGNORES any idiot response you are currently thinking up. Get your last word in.

This thing needs to get back on topic, I like my exhaust for its sound and looks, (Trust/Greddy catback) but if i wanted better performance i'd go with what someone mentioned above... Buddy Club spec II.

considering i didnt build this as a drag car, purely for my enjoyment and to do something different than i have built before.

but homie...... you got a B16, i eat those on the regular.

i've owned around 20 hondas, all of which i'm sure are faster than what you got.

got any timeslips to back up your badass B16?

gotta quote that one. in your 'build' thread, that's what you got in there. whether its a B16b or not, its still lacking that torque. i guarantee i'm putting out more TQ at 4,000 rpms than you are HP at 9,000.

"I am deciding wether I should put my b16b or b18c engine in. I think that I am gonna keep it CTR. "

see, the true hater in you came out and attacked me in yet another thread.

hmmmmm...... why is it you are naming names? feeling guilty?

call you? you got my address..... you asked for it , right? USE IT.
I could care less about calling you. what is arguing over the phone gonna do that is so much different from arguing over the computer?

<FONT SIZE="4"> enough....... i told myself i was done with you in this thread. you'll just handle it when you see me at the meet...... right? </FONT>

Glad to see you went back to edit your posts..... I'll just condense mine for an easy deletion when the moderators come to kick our asses.
