bad luck
well the other day i was changing my spark plugs and they were super hard and one broke on me i tried to take it off and i couldn't take it off i talked to my mechanic and he said that he would have to take off the head and take it to the head shop and he said it would cost about 400 bucks , do you think it's really worth it ? btw it's a B1 ?

Re: bad luck
well ask yourself this... is it worth driving a car with only 3 cylinders firing? You mechanic is right, the head will need to be removed so that the plug can be drilled out and the hole rethreaded, it cant be done while on the car without causing damage to you piston or leaving foreign material in the motor. Id suggest finding a new head and having it decked flat, possible rebuilding it and it would cost about the same. next time use some anti seize when installing plugs and this wont happen again

Re: bad luck
$400 is not a rip-off when you consider the labor that will be going into it. Mechanics aren't cheap, never have been, hence why I learned to wrench myself
