Default Is this a bad idea?

So have an ef ive been trying to swap a b20vtec into, i have the obd0 harness swapped to mpfi with a p28 ecu and obd1 jumper harness for the ecu. I have the wire harness that came with the b20 which i believe is obd1 so i can take plugs from it.

Unfortunately i accidentally purchased an obd2 distributor that i am now stuck with, but it bolts to the head an all that good stuff. So i bought an obd1 to obd2 distributor jumper harness thinking it would plug and play not realizing my harness was obd0. So im wondering if its a bad idea to plug the distributor into the jumper harness then take the plugs from my obd1 harness cut them to have some length and then wire that to plug into my obd0 harness.

I realize there may be a simpler way but i am just trying to use what i have and not buy another distributor.

Any help is much appreciated.

I only have the obd0 wire harness. Not the obd0 distributor to cut plugs from.

Also like i said im trying to stick with what i currently have on hand. Without having to buy more stuff.

I would just depin the obd0 plug, depin the obd2 plug, then plug the obd0 wires into the obd2 plug one by one, and just extend the remaining two to the ecu.

Doesn't the OBD2 distributor have the positioning sensor built into it, where as the OBD0 and OBD1 harnesses having it off the front of the crank shaft?

o/p i would suggest de pinning the obd0 dizzy plugs and try pinning them into the obd1 plugs. if that doesn't work, then just cut and solder the connectors onto your existing engine harness

Yeah i figured its easier to just depin the connectors and swap the obd1 connectors from the donor harness to the one thats going to be used in the car.

First time doing it but it ended up being really easy, found diagrams online so i just matched the colors and positions.

Thanks for all the info!
