Hmm. I don't know what year you were looking at but 11810-PR3-010 is from a 93 GSR and being OBD1 should be a better fit.

He is posting in the CRX/EF Civic forum, which is Civics and CRXs 1988-91. He said his engine is a b16a, gen 1. So I think he means the Civic SiR in the 88-91 period. I agree clarification is needed.

I would get the rubber seal, too, part #11831-PM3-000.

Alternatively a trip to your junkyard may turn up one.
Can this single cam cover work on my b16a? To clarify it is and obd-0 b16a from a 88-91 Civic Sir.

I see what you are getting at. The "gen 1" threw me off a bit, because yours is a 4th generation Civic blah blah yada lame excuses for not nailing this. Anyway, pardon if you know the following already. From reading about Si and SiR Civics from 88-91, I see the 1988-91 American Civic Si has a d16a6 engine putting out 106 HP, is SOHC, and is non-VTEC. The 1988-91 Japanese SiR has a b16a engine that puts out about 160 hp, is DOHC, and is VTEC. It makes sense that bkhondaparts.com is dealing strictly with the American version. So my first post is wrong (and I am about to delete it to minimize garbage here) or at least begs a call to bkhondaparts to see if they can get you the b16a lower TB cover.

The usual American parts sites do not look promising. I googled for {JDM parts Civic} and think calling places like the following might turn up a cover for you very quickly:
http://www.jdmperformance.com/engineparts.php
http://passwordjdm.com/index.aspx

Putting {JDM b16a} into ebay's search engine turns up some sellers who may deal in JDM parts, new and used. You can also email online junkyards (google for {Honda junkyards}) and tell them it must be from a b16a engine etc., and one may very well turn up. A few years ago when I did not have any junkyards near me this approach worked well. Response (either yes we have it or no we don't) was around 75%. Searching at honda-tech.com for recommendations turned up a post recommending passwordjdm above.

I found one on ebay and I am going to try and acquire it. I hope it is correct.
