You can't put B16 pistons in a B18 block but you could put B18 pistons in a B16 block after some machine work. You can make a B16 a B18 by putting a "stroker" crank in it.

Wrong. You can put b16 pistons in a ls. They are the same bore. How would you be able to put ls pistons in a b16 and not the other way around. A bunch of the ls guys do this to bump their compression.

would it create higher compression and my other question is the crank that makes the b18 a 1.8 not the bore

Yes with b16 pistons your compression is going to be higher. And yes again the stroke is the differance maker in the b series motors except for the b20's were they have a larger bore as well.

You would be fine. Just need to worry about that with bigger cams.

Use ctr pistons a in your block. .025 oversized ones there's your compression for ya

Ctrs net a lot of compression for pump fuels except for e85. Sometimes to the point were you have to pull timing in the tune or adjust the cam gears to bleed off compression and then it becomes pointless to have them because you could have a different piston make more power at less compression.

Don't ever post again unless you know 100% the answer is correct. Thanks guys for clarifying it for the OP.

If! You do b16 pistons on ls rods you need to machine the wrist pin wholes on the rods, cuz the b16 wrist pin is bigger then the ls wrist pin.

LOL my answer was 100% correct. I don't deal with LS garbage so I didn't know what the bore size was. I would love to see you put a B16 piston in a B18C of any kind. Pull your head out of your ***.

You my friend just got my new sig. I dont know if you have a thinking problem or what. All b16s and all b18s including you loved b18c are all the same bore size 81mm. You can put a pct, p30, or even a pr3 piston in a type r block bud.

Lol correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the b18cR and the b16b the same exact block casting too?

They even go threw the castings and only top shelf mold gets stamped B18C. Look it up. I just read the article.

Wow i cant stand people that know they dont know what there talking about but go on forums guving people advice anyways as if they do know... i garantee you are one of those guys that drives a completely stock car but tells people it is all built up under the hood, but coincidentely inly has modifications that cant be seen without disassembling the engine. I hope you dont work on other peoples cars since you prob cant even change your own oil. Dam good thing you drive a crv and not a high performance sports car because im sure you have a hard enough time doing the basic maintenance thats required to keep the car out of the scrap yard. I would also bet millions that your one of those guys that tells bullshit storys but while telling the story says something to contradict what you just said and prove that you are lieng.. and then when someone points out how they know your full of **** and what the reality of the situation is you try to talk louder than them and and ramble untill they stop talking. And not because your embaressed and dont want them to know your talkin out your *** but just because you dont want to accept reality. Instead of researching something or taking the time to learn you would rather make things up as you go even though you know your going to get caught because you know the person your talking to actually has a basic understanding of what your discussing. Have you ever been assessed to find out if you have a learning disability such as dislexia or an attention deficit disorder? If not it would prob be smart to do so. Im not a doctor but just by imagining myself in your shoes i can tell you 100% that something is not right up there. I used to talk out my *** and pretend i knew things that i knew nothing about just like you do... but then i turned 12.

Ive met a few losers like you in my day. Your the kind of guy that will tell a mechanic at the porsche dealership that he drives a 2004 carerra... just minutes after stating that you cant drive a standard... it would be very interesting to know how many times you have gone to a used car dealership and bought a vehicle for 30% more than it is worth just to feel assurance that the vehicle is in good running order.... who on earth would want to buy a car with an engine that was rebuilt for performance when you can get a stock one for the same kinda dough and just tell everyone its built? Are you single? If not, What does your wife think of the fairy tales you fabricate? Do you lie to her about things like that too? And if so is she stupid enough to believe you or dies she just go go along with it and pretend not to know? Its either one or the other im sure or you would be single lol. I feel so sorry for any woman that has brought you home to meet her parents, that must be so degrading for them. "I own a drywall company, yeah ive been doing it for about 12 years now" but before everyone is finshed eating you have already implyed that you dont know how to read a measuring tape and admit that you dont know what studs are or own a drill.... i bet your mechanic loves it when you stop by though. He can prob listen to your stories all day lol. Why wouldnt he? Your prob his only customer that he can charge 450 dollars to change a 60 dollar alternator when all he has to do is pop the hood and plug his battery charger in. You should have made your user name walter disney i guess and just stuck with bicycles.
