my engine took a **** on me =(
last night i was heading down to san diego, halfway point at san juan capistrano, my engine decides to give up on me. i was cruising at 80-90mph WAS NOT racing. i notice that my speed was going down so i gas it some more, then my engine just shut off and smoke was sneaking out the engine bay so i had to pull over. i had a feeling that my engine had a hole from previous experience. i dont know what had cause it to happen, my engine had oil and its wasnt overheated. my car was towed to irvine because it would be tooo expensive to tow back to LA. so now im in desperate need of a motor, i need a6,z6,or y8 block. i am hoping the head would still be good. any help would be appreciate, thanks guys.

what are the chances that my valves might be bent? the hole is really small on the block about a quarter size. would a snap timing belt be the cause?

Threw a rod?
My D15 broke a rod and parts of it smashed a massive hole in my block. I don't see what else could break on a rod other than it just breaking it half. Perhaps you spun a bearing.
