Attempting to fix my ruste frame on my crx
Is it worth to fix the frame on my crx since its all rusted? the floor is ok.
Is there a way to fix the frame on this unibody car? Does anyone know of a how to do this? or is it best left to a frame shop to do?

all i know is that any shop you look up in the phonebook will laught at you. I had a celica that had a rusted out area on the frame (from an accident), and nobody will fix it, due to liability. Basically, if you get in an accident, if anyone has welded stuff to or otherwise modified the frame, the insurance company can say that the car didnt crumple like it was supposed to, etc. and the shop could be blamed, sued, etc. I know, it all sounds like BS...
Basically, your only option is to find a buddy that knows how to weld and knows something about fixing frames. A bodyshop/collisionshop guy with equipment in his home garage would be ideal, i think.
All other shops were telling me the entire frame would have to be replaced. I seem to remember them telling me it would start around $3k, due it being labor intensive.
frame rust sucks.

I had a local guy come out and do mine, was on both sides of the car right behind the wheel wells were u would place jack stands, pretty much completely rotted
The guy cut it out and 1" around he said and welded in some pretty nicely shaped THICK pieces with his mig
I was definetely happy on the job as after I undercoated it, it looked like no work at all had been done, and I was again feeling like my car was safe
Cost me $100 and he was on my car for almost 3 hours, grandpa did work for him for cheap or something so he passed the love onto me
