anyone have rear bumper bar removal pictures ?
I am trying to remove the rear bumper cover, so I can see what all I need to order when I replace the rear bumper bar / reinforcement. When I tried to remove the rear bumper cover, the bolts are rusty ( although most of the car isn't ) I did not want to strip them so I stopped but does anyone have any tricks to take them out.
Also does anyone have pictures of how they
1. took the bumper off and all hardware
2. pictures of taking the bumper bar ( reinforcement ) off.

No pics. but I can tell you that the bumper bolts are on the inside of the car in the lower hatch area by spare tire. Hope that helps.

Two of them are in the spare tire area, two more are underneath the car...and of course the screws for the side clips. Don't forget to disconnect the rear plate lights before yanking the bumper off. You don't really need a diagram if your intention is to repair/replace the reinforcement. What you are doing is unbolting it already. On our cars, the bumper is attached to the reinforcement and the reinforcement is attached to the body. So when you remove the bumper, you also remove the reinforcement (same goes for the front).

Re: anyone have rear bumper bar removal pictures ?
Thanks for the post. That is kind of what I am asking, but I am having trouble unscrewing the bolts. the one under the center garnish will not budge and I don't know want to strip it out. Also underneath the car the bolts you are describing are rusty. I could spray rust penetrate on it, I did not have any to use sunday, but I still don't know with the tools I have if I can get it off.
Then I can only imagine once I get the cover off how bad the bolts are bolting the bumper reinforcement in.
The only reason I am doing any of this is because the bumper bar is rusting bad.

How to Remove rear bumper: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/how-remove-90-crx-rear-bumper-1637665/
rust = lighter
Just wire brush the rust off and spray paint it to stop it from rusting more.

I know where the cover bolts are. but something is not adding up on mine because the corner of the cover where it meets the quarter isn't even bolted in to a bracket but it does not appear to be rusted away behind it. in fact i think its a plastic bracket that is why I need pictures of it all coming apart

Go to www.thehondapartsstore.com and enter in your year/model and follow the tabs. It'll show you the diagrams as well as the part numbers.
