Default AC pressure testing

I want to be able to pressure test the individual components of my AC systems separately on a bench. I have not been able to locate any place that sells fittings for this purpose.

I ended up using my lathe to make fittings to fit the compressor and am now able to charge it with nitrogen and verify its integrity before installing it. I have received two compressors in the past year that leaked right out of the box. Will never have to do that job twice again.

I was able to find the leak in my 91 Civic DX evaporator by removing it, hooking it up to the original lines in the engine compartment, pressurizing it and putting it in a pan of water. Extreme? Yes, but with the TXV with equalizer hooked right to the evaporator, how else does one verify exactly what is leaking? With the price of parts, trial and error will break us and some vehicles you have to remove the whole dash, not just the glove box like on this Civic to replace the evaporator.

Would sure like to find some store bought fittings so I could test the filter/drier and condensers too. Any ideas?
